It all started with one man and 54 articles published over 50 years ago.
John M Campbell & Co. was incorporated in 1968 by Dr. John M. Campbell Sr. However, our history begins further back when Dr Campbell published a 54 part series in The Oil and Gas Journal between 1954 and 1958 on surface production facilities. These articles became the basis for Volumes 1 and 2 of the Gas Conditioning and Processing textbooks, which are still used today throughout the industry.
Within 10 years of the series of articles being published, Dr. Campbell formed John M. Campbell & Co. (JMC) and began to offer the “Campbell Gas Course” internationally using the original articles as the course’s foundation. In addition, JMC was becoming the premier high-level consulting firm providing facilities engineering advice to many international firms.
While the company was founded by an individual, JMC has formed partnerships to expand our services and to respond to requests from the industry. Early in 2003, JMC joined the PetroSkills alliance as the exclusive provider of facilities training. JMC has also continued to expand its consultant and instructor resources in order to provide Subject Matter Experts to the international Oil and Gas production community. John M. Campbell Consulting (JMCC®) currently offers a multidiscipline approach to Greenfield and Brownfield projects, troubleshooting, and operation improvement in the Upstream, Midstream and Downstream sectors.
John M. Campbell Consulting LLC provides technical expertise in the worldwide oil and gas industry by utilizing highly educated and experienced industry professionals. Our consultants have a wide range of technical depth, covering all aspects of surface facilities design (process/utility systems and equipment, measurement and control, electrical systems, flow assurance, materials, corrosion, solids handling), project management, safety, environmental, operations and abandonment. Included in the facilities definition are onshore, offshore (subsea, fixed structures, and floating systems), and pipelines for oil and gas developments as well as LNG, CNG, GTL plants, terminals and transportation concepts.
JMCC consultants all have a strong and proven record in the industry with the majority having more than 30 years experience. Many have held leadership positions with leading companies in the industry and in renowned technical societies. Many of the JMCC consultants have been recognized by the industry for their individual achievements and their personal commitment to the industry. John M. Campbell Consulting reflects this same commitment by the standards it has set in the industry of the last 56 years.
